A Village tragedy – In the book ‘Cider with Rosie’ Laurie Lee writes of the tragic suicide of Elcombe resident Miss Flynn. She was found, drowned and floating in the village pond in the early hours of Monday 17th April 1922. Miss Flynn was Florence Tuck.
