“So be careful with my skin 'cause I've been living in A world that I cannot escape from The fear and all the doubt, I couldn't live without This darkness is the place where I let go”

When Lisa Fitzgibbon sang these lines from the song ‘I Am Neil Young’, you can feel her vulnerability and her intensity at the same time. And that is what captivated her audience at Roomful of Blues in Singapore.

Her music has been described as soft centred but hard core, Power Folk with a tender heart. I fully agree with that after seeing her live on stage that night.

A singer that is practically unknown on this side of the world, she came and she delivered. Most people in the audience did not know what to expect but the minute she started singing, she immediately drew us into her world, her stories, her heart and soul. She sings to you with heartfelt sincerity.

Lisa Fitzgibbon calls her music ‘Power Folk’ and rightfully lives up to that genre definition; for she delivers one song after another with the passion and power of a singer that needs no screaming or shouting.

Lisa Fitzgibbon is the real deal. A talented artist; a great song writer, a great voice with a tinge of edginess.
